Long Exposure Photograph of the Haven Motel {formerly} on old Highway 12. This abandoned motor court in the woods, aptly named the Haven, although originally called Lein’s Cabins, is no longer with us today. But you better believe its spirit is. We can’t confirm or deny that a scene for one of the Halloween sequels was filmed here. You can almost hear the howling animals in the woods beyond, can’t you? To light the room on this cloudy, moonless night, Chris used a purple strobe light to illuminate the walls and a green flashlight like a paintbrush to load up the mod chairs and television with color.
