Long Exposure Photograph of the August 2024 Aurora Borealis, plus a drawing of a doorway to elsewhere using our Protomachines flash light. The O.G. Aurora of 2024 took place in May, when we were down in South Carolina for an art show. Text messages and Instagram posts of the gorgeous display flooded our phones. All we could do was stand by and seethe with jealousy. Later that summer, the moment we heard of another solar storm, we packed up our gear and headed toward dark skies west of our hometown. The height of the show lasted but a mere ten minutes, just enough time to pull off the side of the highway and find the escape portal to somewhere else entirely.
