Break Me Open… – Arena, North Dakota
$40.00 – $525.00
…And Let Me Breathe Again. Long Exposure Photograph of a church, its vestibule flooded with purple light, located in the mostly-abandoned town of Arena, North Dakota. Silence is such a welcome comfort when you’re supposed to be all alone out here on the prairie. So when the soft rolling crunch of four wheels on gravel enters the scene, the adrenaline rush to your system packs a jolt that could wake the deadest of the dead. And what if those same four wheels catch you in the act—headlights like spotlights on an escaped prisoner? And what if the vehicle makes a quick U-Turn right back out the way it came? You’re left with a critical decision: Should we stay or should we go? With a thick layer of clouds screaming in from the northwest, the decision’s an easy one: grab a couple more quick shots and bounce. Sometimes you get what you got, and you move onto the next one: another trespassing risk to fuel the reward that puts interesting art into the world.
