Esmond Porch – Esmond, South Dakota
$40.00 – $525.00
Long Exposure Photograph of an abandoned farmhouse near Esmond Township in South Dakota. Prior to shooting this old home, we explored the nearby area, including some historical settings of the days of Laura Ingalls Wilder. As the icy wind nipped at our fingers and toes, it wasn’t hard to imagine what The Long Winter of 1880 felt like in a home like this, the sound of the steely windmill turning wildly with each wind gust. Even at 15 degrees, we didn’t let the chilly temp stop us from lighting up the house with bright yellow to mimick the crisp golden field that surrounded us.
